How to Plan the Perfect Mickey Mouse Birthday Party

My son is turning one today and this past weekend we had his Mickey Mouse birthday party to celebrate. I chose a Mickey Mouse theme because that was the theme of my first birthday party. We flew to El Paso, TX where the majority of my family lives so it was great to get our family and friends together! Check out the pictures below for party inspiration and tips on how to plan the perfect Mickey Mouse Piñata Birthday Party. All of the vendors and items I ordered are linked!

The venue I chose had a perfect setting for the party. They provided all of the tables, chairs and table linens.

How cute is the cake?

Instead of party hats we chose Mickey and Minnie ear headbands!

For the dessert and candy table, we chose Mexican candy, Mickey Mouse cookies, cupcakes, cake pops and decorated marshmallows.

I chose a combination of red, yellow, white and black and white stripes for the table cloths.

For the center pieces, we filled tins with yellow flowers and added a Mickey Mouse plush.

Trompo Loco catered the food and we had delicious Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos. They cooked them fresh right outside and all our guests could order as much or as little as they liked. I loved all the home-made salsas.

All the kids had a blast trying to break the piñata, especially my little guy.

You can find Oliver’s personalized outfit here. and his shoes matched perfectly!

The candy bags were such a cute touch. You can find those here!

We ended the day with a birthday cake-smashing session. Check out this post on the healthy cake recipe I made and more cake-smashing pictures!

Needless to say, the Mickey Mouse Birthday party was a success. Oliver had such a blast and I loved organizing it! Are you planning a Mickey-themed party? Feel free to reach out for more tips!
