5 Splurge-Worthy Baby Travel Products

Traveling with baby. Those three words alone are enough to send even the most savvy travelers packing (pun intended!). Chris and I love to travel so we knew that we didn’t want to stop our adventures once Baby Oliver came into our lives. With the majority of our family in France and Mexico, new passport stamps will always be in our near future. And Oliver was just a few weeks old when he boarded his first flight. Needless to say, I’ve picked up a thing or two on travel efficiency. And, if you’re anything like me, you want easy and simple! So I’ve compiled my five never-leave-home-without-them baby travel products that have been life-savers and completely worth the splurge. Check them out below!

Travel System No More

1. Doona – I cannot say enough amazing things about this innovative car seat/stroller hybrid. It is so easy to set up, it’s lightweight, and a perfect size. The two-in-one technology means no more having to carry a car seat, base, and stroller! As a pharmaceutical sales rep, I always have a trunk full of work material so when I was researching strollers and car seats, space-saving was super important to me! With the Doona, you can free up space in the trunk of your car and there is no need for a travel system. Another great feature is that the car seat base is optional. I have the base set up in my car, but when we Uber or stay with family, it’s super simple to lock him in safely. They have a ton of accessories such as a sunshade extension and rain cover; I recommend getting the snap on storage that easily comes on and off since there isn’t any storage built in to the Doona. If you’re looking to save space and travel with ease, check them out!

Free Your Hands

2. Sakura Bloom Ring Sling – I am a huge fan of baby-wearing. The reason I love the ring sling is because I find it so easy to put Oliver on (there is a bit of a learning curve!). Plus it offers great support and the fabric is easy to fold and store just about anywhere. The design is simple and it’s perfect for breastfeeding on demand. The two-layer Belgian linen is five times stronger than cotton (holds toddlers up to 35 lbs!). It is naturally antibacterial, thermos-regulating with built-in wicking property and breathes wonderfully. So you get the sturdy hold without adding the bulk. Oliver loves it because he gets to look around all he wants and can easily doze off when he needs a break. Plus it makes running through the airport a breeze since you have both hands free!

Less Mess, More Fun

3. If you’ve ever suffered through a meal with your baby tossing every item on the floor then you’ll love this next one! The ezpz Less Mess More Fun Mini Mat is a one-piece silicone placemat and plate that suctions to the table to capture every morsel of your mealtime mess. This really comes in especially handy if your baby has started solids and is eating in a highchair. The non-slip technology will allow more time to enjoy your meals and less time picking up stuff from the floor! Made out of silicone, no need to worry about BPA and it rinses easily. It’s light-weight and easy to pack. We use the larger version at home and but the mini mat is my go-to when we travel or dine out!

No Room, No Problem

4. The Inglesina Fast Table Chair is not only great for travel but works awesome for small spaces too. This transportable table chair is as comfortable as it is convenient. And the table height accuracy is truly my favorite part so Baby Oliver always feels like a he is part of the party! The simple twist-tight couplings are compatible with the majority of tables and it collapses easily for storage or travel.  Lightweight, collapsable and easy to carry – what more could you want?

Function Meets Fashion

5. This last one is more for everyday use, but boy is it handy when I travel. I’ll admit that I wasn’t ready to trade in my handbags for a diaper bag so this was the perfect solution. Tote Savvy is an organizational insert designed to turn any large tote into a fully functional and organized diaper bag. I am absolutely in love with this. The Totesavvy insert helps keep you organized, allowing you to quickly and easily find items you need.  And it’s the modern alternative to a diaper bag. It features 11 unique pockets, includes a washable changing mat, an insulated pocket, key clasp, cell phone pocket and flap pocket for paperwork (they thought of everything).
